Sun Country Airlines – A Tale of Success and Challenge
Based out of St. Paul Minnesota, Sun Country Airlines is a small air carrier with flights in the US as well as The Caribbean and Mexico. This mighty little company seems to have a way of winning industry awards every year. They are also well known as an airline who fights hard to stay on top of cost in order to keep you within your budget for your travel destinations. Much about Sun Country Airlines is fairly typical of many airlines because they all operate pretty close to the bone. The air carrier became a full-fledged scheduled airline in June of 1999. The next few years were very difficult for a number of typical reasons which included price wars. They had lost a little over 60 million dollars by 2000.
Just in December of 2010, announcements were made that Sun Country Airlines would be providing air service to Washington DC from Lansing Michigan. This is really tremendous news for Sun Country Airlines. Since they are based in Minneapolis, that is where the flight will begin.
Of course there are numerous programs with Sun Country, and among them is Sun Country Charters. Sun Country has been offering charter services for a very long time – about 25 years. This service is available to organizations and groups regardless of size.
They have won very many awards for their chartering service over the years. They have performed valuable services for educational institutions as well as foreign officials. That truly says a lot about the high level of quality and customer experience.
